Current OppOrtunitIes:

TUTOR

We are in need of tutors to help our clients at our Main Campus and various transition homes we have in the Lakeland area. We are looking for all subject tutors, but particularly those who specialize in math. Ideally those who have experience working with individuals who have behavioral, learning, and/or developmental disabilities. Requires a commitment of one hour each week. If you are interested in helping our clients achieve their academic goals, please email Danielle Stolk, dstolk@anchor-house.org.

LANDSCAPING

We are working to keep our campus in its best condition and any help is greatly appreciated.  If you are willing to take the time to help in gardening, painting, or clean up we can always find a place to get volunteers connected here. We have had serve days with local churches and organizations come to work on projects as well as individuals offering their time. For any more questions please reach out to our operations manager, Matthew Brown at mbrown@anchorhouse.org to learn about current ways to get involved to make an impact here.

MENTORING

Are you looking for ways to intentionally invest in the lives of our youth? We are looking for mentors that will take the time to meet with them a child at least twice a month.  Having a person in their life that regularly shows up for them and is a voice that encourages them to take charge of their actions can be the step they need towards a better future. This role could include having someone to regularly shoot hoops with, play card games with, and ask questions to. If you are willing to make a commitment to be that supportive presence in a youth's life, please contact our assistant executive director dstolk@anchor-house.org to express your interest.
