Lee Burrows, President & Accounting Advisor

Lee Burrows is a CPA and PFS, personal financial specialist, who graduated from the University of Florida in 1982 with a Master of Accounting degree and in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree. Burrows also has a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. Since graduating from accounting school, Burrows worked many years with Price Waterhouse and then with a few local accounting firms. Presently, he is working with Evans and Hurlburt CPAs PA in Lakeland. Burrows is also heavily involved with the church with an emphasis on the teaching and music ministries.

Jeffery Spear, Member

Jeffery Spear is a financial professional with over forty years' experience in higher education and high tech manufacturing. Spear is a leader in quantitative analysis as a tool for mitigating risk. He has worked in numerous finance positions, including an IPO, private placements, and tax-exempt bond offerings. Spear also has experience in growing businesses where creativity and cost containment are critical.

Tonya Akwetey, Member

Tonya Akwetey is a Community Liaison who graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2010 with a Master of Public Health. Since graduating, Akwetey has worked with Healthy Start Coalition in a variety of positions. Akwetey is involved in local and federal government advocacy and serves on the board for the Polk County District Advisory Council. Akwetey has also been involved in a variety of community outreach services such as mentorship and tutoring youth.

James Kellard, Member

James Kellard is an insurance professional working primarily with commericial real estate owners, managers, and investors to help them minimize risk exposure. Additionally, Kellard has experience in the banking industry and personal experience with the foster care system. Kellard graduated from the University of South Florida with his Bachelor of Business Administration in 2018. He is an active member in his community and church.

Jose Concepcion, Member

Jose Concepcion is the founder of The Concepcion Law Firm, PLLC where he represents clients in criminal and civil litigation defense, divorce, and other matters throughout Central Florida.  Previous to that, Joe spent the majority of his career in public service as an assistant public defender and assistant state attorney in the Tenth Judicial Circuit.  During his career, he has had significant experience with troubled youth, both while advocating for them as a public defender and private attorney as well as working closely with the Department of Juvenile Justice while a juvenile division prosecutor in Sebring.
