Meet Our staff
Dr. Joe Davis
Dr. Joe Davis became our Executive Director in 2013. Davis has engaged in some form of ministry for over 30 years. He has been a professor at Southeastern University since 2006, was as a Pastor for 19 years, and served as a Drug Recovery Director in a group home setting. He prefers to simply identify himself as a disciple of Christ. He is also available for sermons and speaking engagements.
Fredric Velez has been our Program Director since 2010. Velez has a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Florida Christian University. He previously worked with youth as the Program Manager for a 52-bed facility; and has served as a house parent, child care worker supervisor, and associate pastor.
Sandy Agens began working at Anchor House in 2012 as our Office Manager. Agens has recently taken on an additional position of house parent at Barnabas House and has transitioned to the role of Comptroller. She is a graduate of Southeastern University and an accomplished administrative professional. Agens handles the budgeting, financial operations, technology, and facilities.
Misty Rousey joined Anchor House in 2015. She has recently taken on the position of Office Manager. She is a graduate of Keiser University and has experience in the legal field. Rousey manages our office and maintains office efficiency by organizing client files and appointments, overseeing office operations, and event planning.
Barnabas House Parent
Paul Agens joined Anchor House in 2015 as a house parent and job coach for our first transition home. When our boys turn 18 and transition out of foster care, Agens assists them with becoming one hundred percent independent. He coaches them through employment, continuing their education and becoming financially self-sufficient. He is a graduate of Southeastern University and maintains State Certifications for Firefighter II and EMT-B titles. .
